Teh Crediblitty

I guess maybe I haven't been doing this long enough to really understand the Blogosphere, (partially because I was on LameJournal) but it seems like my generation qualifies itself by daily hot-linking to Ross Douthat or Matthew Yglesias.*

I don't understand who these two people are, in the sense that I haven't seen them on the nightly news. I guess if I had read them for a while I'd understand better.

Do I need to hot-link to them to get blogstreet cred?
