Why you don't always like your friends.

My favorite libertarian, Megan McArdle, disappoints me by posting not one, not two, but three holiday gift guides all linking to Amazon via her personal sales link. This means every time you buy one of those items you see on her website, she gets 15%.

This is a conflict of interest! Where is her disclosure?

I'm not saying what she is doing is wrong, I've considered my own Amazon rep links. But it is unethical to not disclose the personal stake you have in a sales interest.
